General Remarks and Prerequisites
The Qualification 50285 offers 4 core unit standards, 8 fundamental unit standards and 48 elective unit standards totaling to 60 unit standards.
A minimum of 122 credits are required to be awarded the National Certificate.
The core and fundamental unit standards have to be included in a training course resulting in 66 credits achieved. The learner has to select from the elective unit standards with a total of 359 possible credits a number of unit standards resulting in a minimum of 56 additional credits.
It is assumed that the learners have a knowledge base equal to NQF Level 2 in particular in the fields of mathematical literacy and communication competence.
Prior learning achievements are recognised.
The course curriculum is divided into 6 sections. Sections 1 to 4 cover all mandatory Core and Fundamental Unit Standards. Each Section can be booked individually and is presented in its entirety.
The unit standards of Sections 5 and 6 can be booked individually. Unit Standards marked with an asterisk can be selected according the preferences of the learner.
